The awards ceremony took place on Friday 1 December 2017 at Divani Apollon Palace & Thalasso Hotel in Vouliagmeni.

The Greek Exports Awards 2017 were held for the sixth consecutive year by the Union of Diplomats of Economic and Commercial Affairs (Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs) in cooperation with Ethos Awards and the financial and investment magazine HRIMA.

The award criteria was a number of parameters such as innovation embodying the product, countries and years of export, certificates and distinctions and its competitive advantages.

The company "KLIMIS" managed to distinguish it by applying an innovative method by which it fully exploits the waste of its main production process for the production of briquette from the olive pips. He has previously excelled in European Environmental Competitions, winning the first place in eco-innovation, natural resource management and the implementation of the circular economy. It also has export activity in 9 countries while exporting barbecue briquettes to 23% of its total production.
